21 Day Sugar Detox Cookbook Review and Giveaway
Diane is back! This time with a companion for the 21-Day Sugar Detox, The 21-Day Sugar Detox Cookbook. While the 21-Day Sugar Detox Guide has over 90 recipes, Diane realized that in order for her Sugar Slayers to maximize their detox efforts she needed to empower them with more recipes. That’s how the 21DSD Cookbook was born. It’s the same size as the 21 DSD Book, which makes it convenient to tote around the grocery store or farmers market. This cookbook is amazing and you can really see the love and dedication that Diane has put into this cookbook.
21 Day Sugar Detox Cookbook Review
The 21 DSD is structured by levels. You take a short assessment with simple questions regarding your current dietary habits and lifestyle…you’ll be placed accordingly. Diane urges you to not be a hero! Don’t dive into level 3 just because you think you can…take the self-quiz. It will help you decide what level to start at, and if it places you at level 1….remember its only 21 days…you can take on level 2 next and you’ll be better equipped to handle that next level. Remember friends, slow and steady wins the race.
What you get:
– Over 100 recipes which include main dishes, soups salads and sides, snacks, non-sweet treats, sauces and spreads, kitchen basics (like ghee & ketchup)
– Meal Plans by Level which include YES/NO foods list
– Pescetarian (vegetarian + fish), Energy and Autoimmune modifications
– Ingredient tips & chefs notes throughout
– Picture Index and Ingredient Index
– Recommended products and much more!
Remember, the first book in the 21 DSD series is a guide (you can read my other review here), it includes 90+ recipes. The Cookbook has 100+ unique recipes and meal plans that are not in the guide book. They go great together.
When you look through the 21 DSD Cookbook you’ll fall in love with all the yummy recipes, the pictures will make you salivate and I really believe you’ll be making these recipes long after your 21 days of detoxing are over. Your palate will adjust and new and exciting foods will actually be sweet. One of the really cool things about joining Diane’s 21 DSD is the encouragement and support you get from the whole Balanced Bites team. You can sign up here to receive daily emails throughout your detox. You can also “like” the 21 DSD group on facebook here, you can post questions or participate and encourage others along their journey. It’s a team effort and with all that support, you’re bound to succeed.
Side note: I went to Diane’s San Francisco book signing which was packed! As were all the locations the #paleotour hit. In SF, the ferry building was buzzing with Paleo aficionados and Paleo celebrities alike. Here’s some pictures from the event:
Me, Henry Fong from Nom Nom Paleo and Simone from Zenbelly
Me, Mary Vance, Hannah from Healy Real Food, and Carla from Wise Roots.

After the book signing we went to a great dinner at gluten free Prix fixed menu at La Mar to celebrate.
It was really fun to be with so many like minded people in one room.
