I have been eating gummy worms and bears since I was a kid but definitely not the healthy kid. These healthy gummy worms are made from keto friendly gelatin with limes and blueberries.
Gelatin is a vital component of traditional diets that is missing in the standard American diet. Gelatin is found in animal joints and bones and used in cooking for flavor and adding minerals and the vital amino acid glycine. Glycine helps the body make collagen, a protein that is an important component of muscles, tendon, supple skin, and bones. While our great grandmothers boiled bones for soup and broth, many people today are too busy to do that. A hack that many health conscious people have found is to add collagen and gelatin powders to their daily routine for smoothies, puddings, even adding to coffee.
Gelatin is great for the digestive tract because it has gut soothing and healing components that our body cannot make on it’s own. Properties of gelatin help with good moods, memory and even restful sleep so it is a critical component of a real food and keto/ paleo diet.
I keep a container of Vital Proteins collagen and gelatin in my cabinet all the time so I can improve the nutrition density in my drinks and sweets. Make sure to note that gelatin is gelling and collagen is fully dissolving so it won’t form puddings or panacotta. Order here

Looks great! I may experiment with nordic natural lemon fish oil in place of lime juice to make my own vitamin gummies for my kiddo!

Hi,
I’m thinking of making this for my kids (7 yrs old). How much gelatin is in per serving roughly? I’m assuming 1 gummy is more than enough per day for them? Or will it be too much? Thanks.
