Grass Fed Crock Pot Brisket

If you hang out with much with me you know that grass fed beef is one of my favorite foods, that I eat all the time, but you probably don’t know why I am so crazy about it. You also probably do not realize what a huge difference there is between most beef at the grocery store and pasture-raised, 100% grass-fed beef. Read here why I am huge fan of grass fed beef. 

 

I serve this flavorful grass fed crock pot brisket with cabbage sauteed in coconut oil. I love coming home to a slow cooked dish that is warm and filling. This is the slow cooker I use for the past two years (get it here).

Grass Fed Crock Pot Beef Brisket Recipe in a Slow cooker

Ingredients:

4 lbs Grass Fed Brisket (order here)
1 onion, peeled
2 celery stalks
1 whole carrot
4 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon dried oregano (order here)

1 teaspoon dried thyme (order here)
1 teaspoon Sea Salt (order here)
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper (order here)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (order here)

2 cups water or beef broth (my recipe here) or order online here

Directions:

 Put all ingredients into a crock pot. Cook for 6 hours on low. Remove the meat from the crock pot and set on a platter, cutting against the grain. Use an immersion blender to blend the vegetables to make a sauce. If the sauce is still too thin place in a skillet over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens up. Pour sauce over the brisket, serve and enjoy.
 
Note: Always use organic ingredients when you can find them.
