If you are looking for a peppermint hot chocolate mix recipe that has a stimulating aroma and is dairy free, this is it. It can also be made to be sugar-free and low carb/keto diet or a treat for Paleo peeps. The all natural peppermint essential oil in this hot cocoa mix replaces the artificial flavors in store-bought mixes and plus it will leave a light and tingly feeling in your mouth.
Peppermint extract commonly used in some cocoa mixes are not pure peppermint oil and it has alcohol added to it. This recipe makes a mix that can be stored and used whenever a chocolate craving hits. Make this mix and give it as a wonderful gift with a bow on top.

I use the vitality version of peppermint oil (order here) that is labeled as a dietary supplement. One small bottle has hundreds of pounds of peppermint leaves steam distilled and bottled without any additives or perfumes. I visited the farms and distilleries to see how it is made which is why I chose this company.
