Signed Gather Paleo cookbook Review and Giveaway

June 4, 2013 By Caitlin Weeks

Signed Gather Paleo cookbook Review and Giveaway –

I recently got the new copy of Gather in the mail and I was so excited!t

It is a follow up to the bestseller: Make it Paleo which was a must have book that set the bar high for paleo cookbooks!

This amazing book was put together with lots of love by my friends Bill Staley and Hayley Mason!

They emphasize that Paleo is a lifestyle, not a 30 day diet plan and real life must go on with lots of feasting with friends!

This book is over the top!

I am overwhelmed!

It is up there with Martha Stewart with it’s food photography and set design. I am reminded of the 90’s when I used to stare at my mom’s gourmet magazines with wide eyes and a grumbling tummy.

It is up there with the best cookbooks you have ever seen. It is the first paleo book I have ever seen geared toward parties and entertaining.

It is huge almost like a coffee table book and so jam packed at around 300 pages!

It is organized by get together’s someone may plan have over a year, such a Easter, Thanksgiving, garden party, 4 th of July bbq and more.

It even features special theme nights like “A Night in Tuscany” or “A Taste of Cuba”.

dinnerparty

There is an adorable spring garden party with little girls having a wonderful time with zucchini bread and finger foods like salmon bites and olive tapenade on carrots.

The most buzz has been about the Chinese take out menu includng General Tso’s chicken!

It feels like you are invited to the party with the turning of each beautiful page!

I would love to go to Bill and Hayley’s backyard picnic anytime!

See pg 87 for a full outdoor menu that would be great for Father’s day!

Check out a preview here:

The best part is that it is all Paleo and full of real food ingredients!

They provide lists of what to do each day before to prepare for your get together.

They have a great pizza recipe and chocolate chip biscotti that is to die for!

These two globe trotters even shot on location for the tropical getaway menu from the Bahamas! After reading this section my taste buds went on vacation with stuffed red snapper, mango and microgreen salad, lobster tails and fried plantains.

Page 294 even has a French bread that I hear is to die for!

I can’t wait to try the homemade crackers and spinach dip on pg. 258!

I have been around Bill and Hayley many times and I know they work so hard on these book projects and we are lucky to get all the benefits!

Their dedication shows through in this masterpiece that will be a cherished addition to any real food lovers kitchen for years to come!

I have been gluten free for a couple of years an that was life changing on its own. I had been toying with going Paleo for a while but was admittingly a little scared to “give up” even more food. I just finished the 21 Day Sugar Detox and have felt so amazing that I know I’m not “giving up” anything, only adding amazing quality of life and planning to stock to the Paleo way from here on out. Gather, I know, would help make my transition even smoother and better with so many wonderful recipes to help me not get bored with eating the same things right from the start!! I hope I win!!! Thanks for the chance!!!

I’m just starting to get into Paleo. I’ve been listening to webcasts and watching a number of blogs promote this beauty of a book. I don’t just peruse through cookbooks, I conquer them! It’s a “quirk” that forces me to try ones I might not typically try. Also, when I get cookbooks that are created by those that have Facebook pages, I love to post the pics of each recipe to see how it compared!
