Grass Fed Girl Paleo Holiday Gift Guide for Men and Women 2014: I am not that big into material possessions for the most part. A lot of my clothes are from Goodwill or Target. I have become some what of a hoarder from buying props for photos at second hand stores. I spend most of my money on things like alternative healthcare, massages and supplements. Of course I would die without my freezer full of grass fed beef and lamb.
I just wanted to share some of my favorite must have items that are perfect for that special someone on your list.

Big Ticket Items:
I got this one last year: Nikon D3200 Digital SLR. I use it in my food photography and everything comes out looking delicious, think about what it will do for your photographs. Check it out here.
This is the 50mm lens that I use to get a blurry depth of field, all the food bloggers talk about it. I still love it!
(Also, in case you are interested in food photography, here is a post I have about how to take better photos.)
But this year I have my sights on this one which is more advanced.
I would be lost without my Mac computer I got last year and it is still chugging away. I have not filled up the memory yet. I kind of wish i had gotten a smaller one becasue I didn’t realize I would be traveling non-stop over the next year but I love it just the same!
The fanciest things I have are in my kitchen are my Le Crueset enameled cast iron Dutch oven! They might be pricey but they get TON of use!
This Japanese knife is my number one kitchen tool and just keeps going on strong.
BOOKS
My cookbook Mediterranean Paleo Cooking of course!
I just toured with Brittany Angell and her book has delicious options for longed for gluten free options such as croissants, bagels, pretzels and more.
..or any one of my two ebooks that are highly rated.
Want to learn how to make healthy breakfasts that stick with you all day?
My Friend Carol’s new ebook is great too!
The Grain Free Snacker by Carol Lovett THE GRAIN-FREE SNACKER INCLUDES: 70+ recipes that are grain-free, dairy-free and adhere to Paleo principles, 150+ pages of content, hyperlinked table of contents for easy navigation, Beautiful photographs, Trouble-shooting tips, Bonus! A printer-friendly copy.
The ongoing must have Paleo book is Practical Paleo: A Customized Approach to Health and a Whole-Foods Lifestyle by Diane Sanfilippo. It’s full of advice on how to get started on ancestral diet. It has special advice for people who have (or want to avoid) thyroid problems, diabetes, dementia and autoimmune diseases. It also has 120 mouthwatering and beautifully photographed recipes. I have made a bunch of them so I know they are great. The kindle version of Practical Paleo is only $9.99!
This Spiral Vegetable Slicer is amazing at making Paleo noodles out of veggies. It is high quality and lasts a long time. I have had mine for over two years.
Every Paleo peep needs a Slow Cooker!
I actually wish I had two because I like to have one going with broth all the time. Then I find I need another one to make homemade ghee or store-bought here. The one with the timer is integral because it will turn itself to warm when the food is done so it does not dry out before you get home from work. I put a lot of meat in there frozen with some onions, garlic, and herbs and it makes it’s own rich sauce. Don’t forget to use meat with bones to get more minerals and vitamins and eat all the juice/broth.
This one has it all!
I also just got this awesome coffee press. I can’t live without it! It is perfect for one or two people who are busy and on the go.
This is actually my #1 kitchen tool. I do not have a dishwasher so I hate washing appliances with lots of parts. This one you can just rinse the bottom off and you are done. I use it to make amazing soups in minutes that are awesome! I have this Immersion Hand Blender and it is amazing!
Also This CD has been making me very happy lately! It is from Brazil and will chase your winter blues away. Get it here.
Another thing that has made a big difference for me this year is Stitch Fix. It is so great because you get clothes in the mail that are picked to specially fit you. It is so great especially if, like me, going to mall is the last thing you want to do. More details
Happy Healthy Holidays to your family from Grass Fed Girl!
