You will love this low carb keto coconut butter fat bomb recipe. Cocoa butter is a very healthy fat that has many health benefits. It is is high in polyphenols which are antioxidants. The fat in cocoa butter is made up of saturated fat and has similar health benefits of coconut oil. It is also a great source of magnesium which helps combat stress, yeah for cocoa butter! Many people also use it for natural skin care recipes.
I made these for my mom who was cutting out sugar for a health protocol and she was a big fan. They would be great for anyone in your family who is following a low carb or ketogenic diet.
Prep time: 10 minutes (60 minutes inactive)
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 12 servings
1/2 cup grass fed butter or coconut oil (order here)
4 oz cocoa butter (order here)
2 tablespoons ground golden flax seeds (order here)
1 teaspoon sea salt (order here)
1 drop nutmeg essential oil, optional (order here)
Heat up a few cups of water in a saucepan over medium high heat and place a glass pyrex bowl on top. Add all the ingredients and melt them all together until smooth and well combined. Pour the mixture into silicone mold (order here) or a lined mini muffin tins. Freeze the candies for 1 hour before serving. Store in the refrigerator 1-2 weeks. Keep them in the freezer or refrigerator until right before serving.
Note if you don’t have cocoa butter, coconut butter (order here) will work.
